For the first week of the July School holidays, 40 students from 7 schools across North Queensland braved the cold to explore Canberra and the Snow Mountains.  Along with students from Ingham SS, Gumlu SS, Trebonne SS, Home Hill SS, Annandale SS and Mt Fox SS, students from Osborne boarded the plane to travel to Canberra and discover all our National Capital has to offer.

With the help of our fantastic coach captain Alan, we explored venues such as Parliament House, the Canberra Glassworks, Questacon, the Royal Australian Mint and the Ian Potter Foundation Centre for Technological Learning.  We also travelled out to the Snowy Mountains to explore the Snow Hydro Scheme, round up sheep at Gold Creek Station and spend a day doing science in the snow! Everyone had a fabulous time and loved meeting new friends from across the district.  A huge thanks to all of the staff for organising such an awesome camp!
