On Wednesday 16 November, we had the priviledge of visiting the Townsville Civic Theatre to listen to the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra played a variety of classical songs for us and we also had the chance to meet some of the musicians and speak with them about their instruments. We were able to listen to the oboe, viola and violin and learn about how each instrument makes its special sounds. One of the violins we saw was over 300 years old! The musicians told us about their passion for music and even played a special rendition of 'Happy Birthday' for Zaine! After the orchestra was finished, we have a lovely lunch at the Strand then travelled home. What a great day!
