Last Thursday, Osborne State School held their annual Easter
Bonnet Parade. It topped off a week of
Easter celebrations at the little school which also included an Easter Bonnet
building workshop where parents and friends were invited to join the children
at school and help out with building their beautiful Easter bonnets. Parents and friends who attended the
fun-filled parade were treated to a variety of songs and poems performed by the
children including ‘Chocolate Bunny’ and ‘Little Bunny Foo Foo’. A display of the children’s great work from
the term was set up in the library and included fantastic works of art
depicting the children’s favourite places such as ‘Fireworks over my House’ by
Keeley Koia and ‘Daintree’ by Ryland Palmer; art folios showing a variety of
media techniques and great examples of persuasive writing by all the
children. After sharing their display
with their friends and family, the students and their younger siblings searched
the school for Easter eggs and discovered that the Easter Bunny had paid a
visit to their classroom. This caused a
great deal of excitement and was a fantastic way to finish what has been a very
busy term for our little school. Happy
Easter everyone!
