Fantastic Audit Results

9/08/2013
In 2013 Osborne State School underwent a Teaching & Learning Audit.  All state schools in Queensland go through a teaching and learning audit.  The aim of these audits is to evaluate a school's ability to deliver quality education in accordance with the Department of Education's pursuit to improve education in Queensland public schools.

The Audit report commended our school for our significant progress since the last Teaching and Learning Audit particularly in the domains of An Explicit Improvement Agenda, An Expert Teaching Team, Systematic Curriculum Delivery and Effective Teaching Practices. In addition the school was also commended for the development of its explicit improvement agenda which has a focus on reading, writing and numeracy; its use of student data to improve learning outcomes and monitor student improvement and the positive tone and strong expectations that every student will learn successfully. Students, parents and staff members have a sense of belonging and pride in the school and teachers are passionate about teaching and learning, striving to improve professionally to enable their students to succeed.

These results are a credit to the team at Osborne, and it is great to see such efforts rewarded. What this means is that when a student comes to Osborne, they are guaranteed to receive quality education.
